ideas

Since I'm working on some old projects, I'd like to see what the blogosphere thinks of a couple of them.
First:
I have previously alluded to a set of running cadences that is in the works. I have this strange concept of incorporating the physical training into spiritual fitness, and at the same time making our physical training more spiritually-minded. I'd love to hear ideas that allow us to incorporate our practice in more aspects of our lives.

Second,
There has been in my mind an idea for some time, based on my interactions with Venerable Zhen Guan (2LT, chaplain candidate) the idea of a television series (sit-com) titled, "The Monk and the Soldier". Basically, it revolves around a Soldier helping a monk learn physical fitness and the often comedic adventures that that has entailed. i'm wondering what our community might think about such a show?

Might well be a worthwhile effort. Keep working on these projects, I think they are in good hands and that they will produce a positive effect on all those involved and the public as well.

I think a move towards cadences that have less misogyny and are more more inclusive of the other sectors of the force would, in the very least, bring some mindfulness to the force.

It is a great idea of the cadence chant, somewhat like when I was in the US Navy but with a spiritual twist. I encourage you to follow up with this for I have also come up with a running chant about a month ago and would love to see how you incorporate it. Please keep us posted and as an assistant minister in Jodo-shin Buddhism it would be a great way to practice mindfulness and positiveness while doing exercise. Bravo!! and continued success with this effort.
